The Jonas Brothers Songs Journey to Fame

Before the Jonas Brothers was signed up by Columbia records to be a band act, it was actually Nick Jonas who was already performing on broadway and had his own record.  Nick Jonas had a self-titled album that had a limited release.  The album carried the Jonas Brothers songs:

   5. Higher Love
   6. Please Be Mine
   7. I Will Be the Light
   8. Don’t Walk Away
   9. Joy to the World (A Christmas Prayer)

The band released their album It’s About Time on August 8, 2006 under Columbia.  The album was also released on a limited number of 50,000 copies.  By early 2007, the band was already released by their record company.  Soon after, they were signed by Hollywood Records.  They released their self-titled album under Hollywood records.

    * “When You Look Me in The Eyes” from the Jonas Brothers, 2008

Aside from their own albums, the Jonas Brothers also worked on several songs for other projects.  The band did the theme song for the second season of American Dragon Jake Long.  The band also has songs that are part of compilation albums such as “Yo Ho (A Pirate’s Life)” for Disney Mania 4. The band also did “Time for Me to Fly”, a song that was included in the movie Aquamarine’s soundtrack.  They also sang “I Wanna Be Like You” for the Disney Mania 5 and “Girl of My Dreams” for the Disney Channel Holiday.

As for the band’s own self-titled album, the Jonas Brothers songs “SOS” and “When You Look Me in The Eyes” are enjoying good airplay.  The following songs are also part of the self-titled album: “Hello Beautiful”, “Games”, “Hollywood”, and “Good Night & Goodbye”.  All the songs on the second album have been written by the three brothers themselves.  A third album is currently in the making and should be due for release in August 2008.

The band has been pretty successful so far in mixing various genres and influences and creating music that is all their own. With two studio-produced albums and another one on the way, the Jonas Brothers is set to take their careers even further.
