If you were able to catch them in one of their “Look Me In the Eyes” concert tour, you would nod knowingly if we say you’d surely want more.  Joe, Kevin, and Nick are now back on the road after a hugely successful European tour that has earned them hundreds of thousands of fans more from the other side of the globe.

Jonas Brothers songs were introduced as the fabulous trio will visited arenas and amphitheatres from coast to coast and from north to south, on their “Burnin’ Up” concert tour last August.  These new songs were all co-written by the brothers and most of these songs were recorded while they were on their concert trips.  The boys’ Gibson tour bus was specially outfitted to make it a mobile recording studio.  With John Fields returning as the executive producer for this album, the boys end up recording the new Jonas Brothers songs on the road—ain’t that just cool?

OTHER JONAS BROTHERS SONGS

“A Little Bit Longer” is a follow-up to the highly successful self-titled album that gave us great Jonas Brothers songs like “S.O.S.,” “Hold On,” and “When You Look Me in the Eyes.”  The “Jonas Brothers” album debuted at no. 5 on the Billboard 200.  We expect the new set of Jonas Brothers songs to propel this to the number 1 slot on a lot of charts.

Besides promoting the new Jonas Brothers songs, the trio are also getting their hands full with several other projects.  The Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM) “Camp Rock” just premiered June 20.  Taking after the success of “High School Musical” 1 & 2, “The Cheetah Girls” 1 & 2 (and there’s another one coming this year!) and the successes of several other Disney Channel Original Movies, “Camp Rock” is another blockbuster.  This is the story of a pop star Shane Gray (Joe Jonas) was dropped off by his band mates with the hope of changing his bad attitude.  Shane meets Mitchie Torres (Demi Lovato) and the story goes … reminding as of “High School Musical.”

J.O.N.A.S! is also another flick over at the Disney Channel worth watching.  This is a story about ordinary teen rock band that tours in their old tour bus.  They are actually Junior Operatives Networking as Spies or J.O.N.A.S!  Another plot that is sure to catch the kids’ fancy.

These kids from Wyckoff, New Jersey have captured the young generation like fire like, indeed, “Burnin’ Up.”  Jonas Brothers songs, Jonas Brothers TV appearances and TV shows (J.O.N.A.S!, Camp Rock, and Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream), Jonas Brothers concerts, and soon, the Jonas Brothers 3D Movie (taken from their “Burnin’ Up” concert tour, are having their hands filled.  It is hard to imagine these boys were quietly performing at a chain of amusement parks called Six Flags.  Thanks to the powerful and promotion-savvy Disney machinery, the trio’s spectacular rise to popularity was further fueled by tying them up with the popularity of Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus (as curtain raisers).  Now, they have their own Jonas Brothers songs that need no tying up with any other big-name celebrities except their own.

And just like the rest of the Hannah Montana concerts, the Jonas Brothers’ engagements are consistently swarmed by shrieking fans.  The scalpers also love these boys and the popularity of the Jonas Brothers songs…they are also hitting big time with ticket sales.  The Jonas Brothers concerts even surpassed a lot of records in terms of merchandise sales in some areas.

The mass acceptability and huge record sales of Jonas Brothers songs is just one result of the Jonas Brother’s decision to sign up with Disney’s Hollywood Records after they left Columbia Records, which happens to be responsible in making the group (the Jonas family originally intended to launch Nick Jonas only as a solo artist).

These past three years have been very good for Disney as they seem to just have found the right formula in developing marketable talents starting from the cast of High School Musical to Hannah Montana.  In fairness to the Jonas Brothers, they have the credibility of real role models basing on their being raised by a Christian parents, their down to earth clean-cut image (remember the purity rings?).  It also helps to know that Nick Jonas founded a charitable institution called the Change for the Children Foundation.  The trio, who earned more than 12 million dollars last year have donated 10% of it to Nick’s foundation.  Makes one want to buy more Jonas Brothers songs albums, wouldn’t it?

And if talent is to be questioned, experience it yourself and listen to Jonas Brothers songs would speak for themselves. The boys belt out great teen pop to pop rock hits after hits.  The concerts themselves are as riotous as can be with pre-teens and teenage (and beyond!) girls scream like how the Beatlemaniacs did several generations ago.  Production values in each show could rival the most elaborate and expensive shows for the same demographics.  They really know how to hit these fans with their fantastic choreogphy, multi-level stage set, props and effects like flames, elevators, fireworks, laser, etc.

Each of Jonas Brothers songs in these concerts are met (and always drowned) by feverish screams, and the occasional girl who would flash T-shirts that say, “Future Mrs. Jonas”

The Making of the Band

The Jonas Brothers, the band behind the now-hit makers Jonas Brothers songs, is actually an all American band that writes and sings pop-rock songs. Composed of three brothers, Nicholas, Kevin and Joseph, these native artists from Wyckoff in New Jersey have released two successful Jonas Brothers songs music albums. Their debut album called It’s About Time was released in 2006 and which was followed by their self titled album, the Jonas Brothers, in 2007. 

Among the three siblings, the one first exposed to the world of music was Nicholas Jonas. At the early age of seven, he was already playing significant roles on Broadway, while at the same time acted in a number of plays that include 2000’s very popular, A Christmas Carol. He played “Jake” in 2001’s Annie Get your Gun, and as Chip in Beauty in the Beast in 2002. In 2003, he took the role of Gavroche for the play Les Miserables, and as Kurt in the Sound of Music when it was performed at the Paper Mill Playhouse. 

In 2002, when he was played a parting the Beauty and the Beast, young as he was, he had already written his own songs along with his dad and called in “Joy to the World (A Christmas Prayer). This song was also sung during the 2002 annual Broadway album called “Equity Fights AIDs”, and the Greatest Gifts: Carol for a Cure, Volume Four. 

Two years after, Columbia Records heard Nick’s song and signed him up to INO records. He finally released his very first single entitled “Dear God”. Following the success of this single, his newly-recorded “Joy to the World ( A Christmas Prayer) was then released on November 16, a month earlier as planned. After the huge success of his smashing hit, Nick decided to write several songs, this time with his brothers Joe and Kevin. 

In 2005, a new president was appointed at Columbia Records. Although he was not impressed at Nick’s record, Steve Greenberg however liked the sound of Nick’s voice. After hearing Nick’s song called “Please be Mine”, Greenberg decided to give the three brothers and finally signed them up for a contract under Daylight/ Columbia Records. 

Today, there are already a number of Jonas Brothers songs heard over the airwaves. Their first album alone, “It’s About Time,” had the brothers collaborated with popular song writers like Michel Mangini, Adam Schlesinger, Desmond Child, Billmy Mann, and a whole lot more. 

Because of the success of the Jonas Brothers songs, it is not a surprise at all to see them topping the weekly hit charts of hundreds of stations worldwide. And the brothers are surely driven to go for more!

The band also released its first album entitled “It’s About Time”. For this album the band had collaborative efforts with several experienced and amazing writers.  The band’s first single from the album is “Mandy”. The song was released in December 2005.  The band also did two cover songs for the album, these songs were from a UK band named Busted. The songs titles are “What I Go to School For” and “Year 3000”.  Another song from the album is “Time for Me to Fly”. The song was also included in the soundtrack of the teen movie Aquamarine.

The Jonas Brothers songs also covered the following songs: “6 Minutes” by Lyte Funky Ones, “Kids of the Future” by Kim Wilde, “I Wanna be Like You” by Louis Prima, and “Take on Me” by A-ha.
The band created the theme for the second season of the Disney animated show American Dragon Jake Long.  The band also covered a song for the DisneyMania 4 album. The song they did was “Yo Ho (A Pirate’s Life for Me)”. 

After the band was dropped by Columbia Records, the Jonas Brothers signed with Hollywood Records in February 27 2007.  With the new record company, The Jonas Brothers was able to reach even greater heights. 

The Jonas Brothers also sang the song “Kids of the Future”. This song was included in the soundtrack for the movie Meet the Robinsons.  Another song by the Jonas Brothers is “I Wanna Be like You” from DisneyMania 5.  The band also did the song “Poor Unfortunate Souls” for Disney’s The Little Mermaid Special Edition Soundtrack.

The band’s self-titled album “Jonas Brothers” was released on August 7, 2007 and enjoys tremendous success until today.  In its first week of release, the album reached the number 5 spot in the Billboard Hot 200.  Two music videos were also released to support the marketing of the album.  The two music videos are for the following Jonas brothers songs: “Hold On” and “SOS”.  Other songs from the self-titled album include:  “When You Look Me in the Eyes”, “That’s Just the Way We Roll”, and so much more.

“We know that we’re living so many people’s dreams every single day.  The fact that we get to do it, it’s unbelievable.  We’re really honoured and we love what we do, so, no, probably not, I wouldn’t want to go back to normal life.” Kevin Jonas, 20 years old, says.

He adds, “If I wasn’t doing this, I’d probably be working at Starbucks.”  No way, he’d ever switch a “quite, peaceful, and normal life” with being able to sit half way around the globe in Paris and to be able to play their Jonas Brothers songs there.  “It’s incredible to do that as a living.  And, you know, it’s the most unbelievable thing in the world,” Kevin adds as he sits there in Paris doing an interview via teleconference.  No one could blame him for saying that.  That’s the life most teenagers would even want to have.

NOT A NORMAL LIFE BUT THEY ENJOY THE RIDE

The latest album, self-titled “Jonas Brothers” just sold more than a million for the brothers from Wyckoff, New Jersey.  Fresh from a hugely successful European tour, Kevin, Joe, and Nick are now busy making Jonas Brothers songs more popular than ever with their “Burnin’ Hot” concert tour all around the United States.

JONAS BROTHERS SONGS TRIVIA ON “A LITTLE BIT LONGER” ALBUM

Comes August 12, 2008, “A Little Bit Longer” album—their third, comes out of the market too.  This is their second album under Disney’s Hollywood Records (their first Jonas Brothers songs were recorded under Columbia Records).

•   “Burnin’ Up” is the album’s first single was first aired over radio stations on June 20, 2008.  The video for this song also premiered on Disney Channel on the same day.
•   “A Little Bit Longer.”  Of all the Jonas Brothers songs, this must be the most personal one.  This was written by Nick Jonas about how he deals with Diabetes.  Here’s an excerpt of the song’s lyrics:

Eternity. Although not yet officially released in the market, Eternity is one of the Jonas Brothers songs that is included in their latest album. The album has no official title yet but a number of songs are already slowly introduced to the listening public. Eternity is a song that is all about the death of a loved one. Produced and written by the brothers themselves, the siblings admitted during one of their many concerts that the song is written for their grandmother who recently passed away due to cancer.

During that same concert, they also sang this particular song for one of their audiences named Makenzie, after her father died. With this song, both Nick and Joe Jonas shared the vocals. Joe played the tambourine and the piano as well, while Nick does the drums. Kevin takes care of the back up vocals. 

Kids of the Future. Another of the many Jonas Brothers Songs is this soundtrack of one Disney’s animated films, Meet the Robinsons. The song is actually a rewritten version of 1981 Marty Wilde hit, the Kids of America, that was originally sung by Kim, Marty’s daughter. This song is the first single of the movie soundtrack. This is also of the Jonas Brothers songs included in their second album. The lyrics that have been rewritten are particularly made to go with the characters and the events of the animated film This song is very popular because this is heard during the theatrical runs of the film on Disney Channel.

Mandy. The first single of the siblings’ first debut album, Mandy is another of the Jonas Brothers songs that was released on December 27, 2005. The song also has a three-part video. Just after a few weeks after it was launched, the song made it on the fourth spot of the TRL. This song is all about the brothers’ family friend, Mandy Carpio. This friend, accordingly, was taught the proper ways of sign language so she could teach the hearing impaired people. Joe Jonas, when the song was made, was dating Mandy during that time. The song is also one of the many soundtracks of the hit show, Zoey 101. 

Of the many Jonas Brothers songs, this particular song has three different music videos, all referred to as different episodes that showed on MTV’s TRL. All three separate videos were shot at the Pasadena High School in California. Although the real Mandy Vanduyne is not seen on the video, she is present in another Jonas Brothers songs, I Wanna Be Like You. 

Jonas Brothes songs are undoubtedly a hit among kids and young teenagers. The siblings have not only reached the number one spot of the hit list, but also, their songs have touched the lives and the hearts of their listeners.
 

Move On. This is one of the latest Jonas Brothers songs that have not yet been released. This particular song talks about breaking up with a girl in a very harsh way, all because of the things that the girl has done. Part of the chorus says “because you love me, and I hate you. I am right, you are wrong, move on”. Accordingly, this song is supposedly part of the Jonas Brothers songs on their self titled and second album, the Jonas Brothers. However, this song was replaced with another song called Inseparable.

Apparently, Disney turned down this song since it dealt with harshness. And because the Jonas Brothers are very popular among kids and young teenagers, the management feels releasing the song would be inappropriate. This decision also came about when some concerned parents filed complaints to the managements because of the negative effect the song brought to its young listeners. 

Poor Unfortunate Souls. This is a song from the animated film The Little Mermaid from Walt Disney. Some of the Jonas Brothers songs are made and written for animated films like that of Meet the Robinsons. This specific song was sung by Ursula, the Sea Witch to the little mermaid herself, Princess Ariel. This song was used to seduce the little mermaid into giving her voice to the Sea Witch for her to temporarily become a human being. 

Released in October 3, 2006, this is also another of the Jonas Brothers songs that was included in another soundtrack. This song was also featured on the Disney’s on the Record, alongside Under the Sea, Part of your World, and Kiss the Girl. 

SOS. This is another emotional Jonas Brothers Songs that significantly talk about the boy’s emotions. The song is basically all about the band members’ troubled and confusing relationships with their girlfriends. According to Nick Jonas, the one who wrote the song, it only took him about ten minutes to complete the whole song because he wrote it out of his own experience with his girlfriend.

After the song was released, the band was surprised that it did received positive feedback and reviews. According to the Music Mailbag of Radio Disney, the listeners gave the song a 98% approval rating. 

There are really a lot of Jonas Brother songs that speak of true feeling and emotions. And this is one of the many reasons why the band is well loved by kids and young teenagers alike. 

Over the past years, Jonas Brothers songs have significantly changed and inspired the young generations. Because of this, the band has continuously written songs that can somehow teach the youth the real meaning and importance of life. 

The Jonas Brothers have been busy with their live performances since last year.

This year, they have performances lined up that will take them to different states, England and to Canada.  The Jonas Brothers kicked off their Look Me in The Eyes Tour last January in Tucson Arizona.

The boys are also part of the 2008 Kids Choice Awards in Los Angeles California.  After the Kids Choice Awards, their next stop is at the Islington Academy in London. After the April gig the boys will once again tour visiting different states and countries.  The Burning Up Tour is meant to promote their 3rd studio album and Camp Rock.

The month of July 2008 is practically booked solid. The band will perform in various locations on 19 dates in July. The band will perform in the following places: Ontario, Michigan, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Nebraska, Missouri, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Ohio, and North Carolina. In August the band will perform in several locations in New York, and other states: Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington DC, Virginia, Georgia, Ohio, Illinois, and Vermont.

There is no denying that the Jonas Brothers is now a big entertainment act and can carry on their own tour. Tickets to the band’s performances are said to be sold out within minutes of ticket sales opening.  The band has really earned a loyal following, particularly from kids and teens.

Between October 2007 and January 2008 the band was busy touring for the Best of Both Worlds Tour headlined by Disney Star Miley Cyrus. The band served as the front act for the 54-date tour.  The Best of Both Worlds Tour kicked off in St. Louis, Missouri and it ended in Albany, New York. 

The three brothers who hails from New Jersey is becoming even more popular by the minute.  With wonderful support from Disney, the band is experiencing fantastic exposure not just in the United States but in other parts of the world as well.  Even if the band is fairly new, they are already extremely successful and this is also because the talents of the Jonas Brothers are undeniable. 

The Jonas Brothers tour ended a successfully with Miley Cyrus for the Hannah Montana: Best of Both Worlds Tour and now the trio is venturing with their own tour.  The band is booked until the end of August with TV and movie projects also lined up. Expect to see more of the Jonas Brothers this 2008.

The band released their album It’s About Time on August 8, 2006 under Columbia.  The album was also released on a limited number of 50,000 copies.  By early 2007, the band was already released by their record company.  Soon after, they were signed by Hollywood Records.  They released their self-titled album under Hollywood records.
